Red velvet cookies

Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies are not just for the Christmas table at our house!  They’re deliciously soft with a rich red color and a dusting of powdered sugar, and once they bake up, the powdered sugar spreads, giving them their unmistakable name, the red velvet crinkle cookie.

The cookies are sharing a platter with some brownie cookie cupcakes I also made that day.

You only need four ingredients;  Red velvet cake mix, two eggs, 1/3 c. vegetable oil and powdered sugar.  That’s it!

Mix everything except for the powdered sugar in a bowl.  The mix will be very think, that’s how you want it.

The batter will turn very red, just the way we like it.  Next, you can use a small scoop or a spoon to roll them into one inch or so balls.

Pop them into the powdered sugar and roll them around.  Easy, eh?

Place them onto your cookie sheet.  I always use parchment paper when I bake because I find that everything cooks much better on the paper.  This batch makes about 18 cookies.

After baking on 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes, pull them out and let them cool…nah, go ahead and eat a warm one with some milk!

Beautiful, soft and delicious.  These are by far the easiest cookie I’ve ever made.  Go ahead, make yourself some!

I hope you are inspired!
