As you might be aware of, some parts of an old bike are not ready for throwing away. Instead, people use them in any other DIY projects and decorations. These chandeliers made out of metal parts from unused bicycles were used in a very creative way. Not only the outside casing of each chandelier is built entirely with bike parts, the artists Blessing Hancock and Joe O’Connell managed to light a public space with impressive shadow patterns. They achieved this by installing custom LED lights in the Ballroom Luminoso chandeliers. With the DIY work of these artists, everybody can discover the importance of recycling and the value of repurposing bicycles. This gets my DIY stamp of approval!
