After ten years, I finally decided to paint my pine television cabinet. I never thought I’d paint this piece because the pine was so beautiful, but now that it’s done, I really made the right decision. After much deliberation on color, I finally decided on red.
Pine cabinet before…
No going back now! I dry brushed satin red paint on the cabinet, coating all sides, including the back inside wall. After it dried, I sanded edges to make it look like it has some wear and age. The more I sanded, the more I loved it!
I chose not to attach the doors after painting the cabinet, it looked great just the way it stood. It’ is now an eye catching piece of furniture and really pops! All done! Dried, sanded and put back together. I love the red cabinet on the white wall. It really makes a statement in the room.
